Vintage stoneware crocks are a classic collectible. Originally used for pickling and preserving, these heavy-duty beauties can do so much more, if you’re not into those time-consuming activities! (You won’t find me all up in some vinegar!) They’re simple Americana at it’s best, and the household uses are endless: good-lookin’ storage for kitchen utensils, umbrella stand, vase, firewood…you name it. You can find tons of great options on ebay or at swap meets. I prefer the classic white crocks with just the utilitarian blue decoration- if any at all. You can also buy new ones from places like Ohio Stoneware on Amazon.
