People often ask where I get my inspiration from when tackling so many different projects at a time, often in completely different styles. The honest answer is, I own a fantastic amount of design books! The more specific they are the better. When I’m designing a fireplace, I pull out my fireplace book, and when I’m up to my eyeballs in a kitchen redo, it’s kitchen books all over my house.  But when I’m trying to nail the details of a locale, I rely on the Taschen Style series.

Surely you’ve seen them, those beautiful little gems of books with minimal words and breathtaking photography. Taschen Books has a huge selection of gorgeous geographically-based design books overflowing with inspirational images. From Miami to Tokyo, Brussels to Morocco, whatever the look you’re going for, you’ve got a lot to learn from these vivacious volumes. Not to mention, their colorful dainty spines look beautiful on your bookshelves… all the reason you need to buy lots of ‘em!

Kristen, you sent me on a spending spree. I just purchased 10 Taschen style books for a look into other interiors.
